    I got an email from intimations@cpc.gov.in to out standing tax of Rs 650,790 – for year 2008-09 as i am salried and this is huge amount bacause i have paid my all taxes as TDS. as per my Form 16 no TAX should be due .

    Please advise what to do. I had filied manual TAX for this year . I called CPC bangalore and they said – i need to send my Form 16 and a cover letter by normal post and it will be reactified. please advise if possible.

    1. Umesh Ji, You should meet your Income Tax Assessing officer with your Form 16 and Income Tax Return for 2008-09 and letter stating that as per the Income Tax return you had paid all your income tax liability and demand should be reversed as soon as possible. Note take all the documents in 2 sets and get the receipt note on your copy. (Don’t Pay Bribe for this thing, its there mistake they put wrong amount against your PAN)

During that time your speed post might have come and returned. I request your goodselves to resend the cheque to the same address and do needful.

    Prior to this, I went and met to my assessing officer Circle 10(3) Hyderabad requested him to hand over the cheque. But they refused to do so and adviced me to contact to Income Tax Department C P C – BANGALURU for refund cheque. Please look into the matter and send the refund cheque.

  23. Hi, I got intimation letter from IT department that I need to pay approx 3500 more as there is some TAN mismatch (invalid TAN). However when I am matching TAN in form26AS, Form 16A and what I have filed in ITR, all are matching. Please suggest what should I do? Should I pay this amount?     1. Chetan JI , Don’t worry about this mistake of wrong selection of due date of income tax return. CPC will automatically correct this mistake but even if you want to rectify the mistake then file rectification of return through online portal.
      So don’t worry about the mistake.

    My revised IT return for FY 2012-13 has been processed on 28th Feb 2013 against pan no. AEFPA6901D. But I havent received intimation 143(1) from CPC till now from their mail id: intimations@cpc.gov.in. I would have raised more than 15 complaints and everytime they confirmed that they have sent the intimation which i never received. I even changed my mail id, but still didnt received. I got the server issue checked with my network team and they found that there is some server issue of CPC. Now, they have raised one more request to send the intimation but I will never receive until they dont fix the server problem. Please help me with the soft copy of the intimation at the earliest.

    Since February I have been following up about my Income Tax refund as I have taken lot of loan due to medical ground . My father was in hospital for a long time and then expired . Due to illness and hospitalization of my wife I also sent a lot of money .I requested your help line many times to do the needful for my refund .In the month of February I assured two times from the Honorable officers of your Help Line is that I will get it very soon .Thereafter when I called them they told me that it is under process .Some times they told me I will get soon .On 22nd April one respected lady from your call center assured me is that my Refund is almost processed .
    In the first week of May I was also assured from your helpline that I will get is very quickly .But still now I have not received . As I was assured by Honorable call center officer of our noble Income Tax Department , naturally I believed I will get it very soon and promised to pay many persons but later when refund was not come I was embarrassed .
    It is my earnest and very cordial appeal to you to help me to overcome this problem . Please consider my appeal on humanitarian point of view .

      should I contact the same office of Mumbai where earlier submitted my manual return prior to AY2010 -11 ? If so ,I will immediately contact same AO who is sitting in Mumbai . I have also filed return through CPC ,Bangalore in the AY 2010-11 and AY 2011-12 and in both the previous years I have got refund in time .

      This year I am in a miserable condition due to various medical expanses .
      This is my very very humble and cordial appeal to you to save me from this miserable condition . As the officers of our noble Finance Ministry are all great human being , I am sure they will response my appeal as it is life and death problem for me .

      We have seen earlier that Our Minister of Sate of Finance told in parliament is that those who will e-filing return within due date , they will get Refund within 3 to 4 months from the date of filing .Honorable Minister’s promise we treat as ” Heavenly words ” to us as we believe as per our old Indian Mythology and teachings of Great Indian saints we strongly believe that Ministers are representative of God and we should always trust on their words . It is also our moral and constitutional duties to trust fully on our noble country’s noble Minister’s words .Moreover , in the month of February 2013 , I was assured twice by Honorable Helpline officers that I will get it very soon ..Once they assured me ” you will get it very soon ” and another time they assured me ” You will get it very shortly ” . 22nd April ,I was assured by one Respected lady of your Helpline also ” Your Refund almost proceed” and 1st Week of May another Respected gentleman of your helpline also assured me ” You will get it very quickly ” . I was confident as I have received from the Honorable representative of Government of India .Is it not our constitutional bindings and duties to believe fully and to depend fully the words of officers of Income Tax Helpline who are also Honorable Government officials .
      On the basis of assurance of Honorable officers of Income Tax helpline ,I have committed to pay many persons .I earnestly appeal to you to save me from this dangerous situation as I have never imagined such situation can arise .

    1. Munish ji, you don’t need to revise the IT return, just check why demand has been raised. You can check income tax demand reason by intimation letter received u/d 143(1) from income tax department.

    I have already intimated you that again I got assurance from your Honorable Helpline officer on 27th May 2013 . I have contacted as per your advice . Earlier I have got assurance twice on March 2013 and 22nd April and 1st Week of May 2013 which I mentioned in my previous mail . Whenever any citizen of India get any assurance from any Government officials , he or she thinks it is most valuable and everyone depend on assurance of Helpline officers as they appointed by noble Government of India .Whole world knows India is the country of nobility, honesty and transparency . So commitment of any Government official has much importance and most valuable to any people of any part of this planet . You can check all telephonic communications between me and your helpline officers .
    As a Citizen of India I believe it is my moral and constitutional right to believe the Honorable officers of Helpline of Income Tax department as they are also officers of Government Of India which is most noblest Government of world .
    Though assured I have not yet received my refund yet . I have been waiting since February 2013 but not yet received and I am in the midst of deep mental tension in mind . I am also in depression as many persons has been creating pressure on me to pay them as I have taken loan from them earlier due to my father’s long illness and ultimately he was died .I also spent a lot of money for the hospitalization of my wife .I was also ill for a long time.
    This situation is very very troublesome for me and it is life and death problem for me .

  64. I filed my return for the first time in July last year electronically. And earlier this year, changed address which I updated online on the www incometaxindia gov in website. I also called up CPC bangaluru to confirm if my refund will be sent to my new address, which they confirmed. However, now my refund has been refused. TIN website says-“Unable to credit refund as the account number provided by you is incorrect”.

    The CPC has asked me to wait for a new days for the SBI to update them with the refusal code, but is there something I can do to fasten the process?

  65. When the TDS is deducted say by a bank, and they upload, immediately ( on the same day) the concerned PAN is credited with the amount, as seen in Form 26AS
    When we deposit adv tax by way of challan, and the bank has uploaded on the same day, it does not get reflected in concerned PAN’s Form 26AS.
    Why is there a time lag, and how much “delay” factor exists ?
    Example- Union Bank of India , Kailash Clny , New Delhi has uploaded on 31 May 2013
    Rs 20,000 deposited for PAN AAJPK0943M for AY 2013 -14 vide
    BSR Code 0290557 Challan Ser No 2 . Same still not reflected in individual’s Form 26AS even after a month.
    Approached TDS team at Noida, they said ” Part C ” is not their responsibility, approach CPC B’Lore.

    My query is related to outstanding tax demand notice received from CPC Bangalore for Assessment Year 2009-10. In the intimation 143(1) received from CPC Bangalore, I noticed that instead of deducting my home loan interest while calculating total income, I carried it forwarded to the next year. Due to this there is an outstanding tax demand raised by the CPC. Kindly guide me what steps to be taken now for correction of the mistake.

    Now I got an e-mail from Income Tax Department (intimations@cpc.gov.in) in March-2013 for “income tax demand outstanding to be paid for assessment year 2008-09”. The amount is only 840 Rs.
    I have the acknowledgement receipt for income tax return filing for assessment year 2008-09.
    I have the information of my jurisdiction in bangalore.
    Please suggest whether I need to write to them or should go to meet the assessment officer personally. Also what are the documents required.

    when I paid my self assessment tax for AY 2012-13, there was an error in my PAN # on the challan form. This was corrected and after many months it got reflected in Part C of 26AS and that amount is still reflecting in 26AS. Now, I have received a demand note for this amount and when I called the CPC team, they informed me to submit a Rectification request.
